In 2008, Mr. Tony Abel founded Abel’s Preventive Maintenance & Security Services — quickly establishing it as the leader in preventive maintenance for banks and credit unions across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Serving as a field technician since 1999, Tony recognized that financial institutions were spending heavily on new equipment when full refurbishment could restore existing equipment to like-new condition at a fraction of the cost.

In 2016, the company rebranded as The Bank Pros, expanding its territory and service offerings. Today we serve PA, MD, DE, WV, and VA, growing while maintaining the personalized service our clients depend on.

Tony begins his self-employed venture as Abel’s Preventive Maintenance — establishing trust-based preventive maintenance solutions for banks and credit unions.

2012

Growing Responsibilities & Larger Footprints

As financial institutions see his work ethic and the value in the business concept, Tony is given more responsibilities and access and begins servicing larger retail location footprints.

2016

Rebranded as The Bank Pros

Jordan Abel joins and begins assisting on work projects. The company is rebranded as “The Bank Pros” and a website is developed.

We provide comprehensive branch support for banks and credit unions, including our Annual Branch Assessment Program, pneumatic tube system refurbishment, ATM/ITM cleaning and restoration, teller window, drawer and night depository maintenance, vault door and safety deposit box upkeep, and exterior property services. We currently serve financial institutions across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, Virginia, and Ohio. We also have an extensive service provider network giving us the ability to serve parts of New York & Texas. We work one drive-up lane at a time so that your remaining lanes stay open throughout the service. Most full-branch service visits are completed within a single day. We coordinate directly with your branch staff to minimize any impact on your customers and operations.
We recommend an annual service cycle at minimum. An initial refurbishment service with the ability to then schedule annual detailing and upkeep. Institutions in high-traffic locations, harsh climates, or those with older equipment may benefit from more frequent visits. Our Annual Branch Assessment Program helps you build a proactive, multi-year maintenance schedule so nothing catches you off guard.
Our Annual Branch Assessment is a structured on-site inspection of all exterior equipment and touchpoints at your branch locations. We deliver a neutral written condition report with prioritized recommendations and budget estimates, giving your team a clear picture of what needs attention now, what can be planned for, and what is in good shape. It’s the foundation of a proactive branch management strategy.
Everything is done on-site — we don’t remove equipment. Depending on the service, our process includes rust and corrosion removal, surface preparation, refinishing to match the manufacturer’s colors, stainless steel polishing, caulking inspection and replacement, and a final operational check.
In the vast majority of cases, refurbishment is significantly more cost-effective than replacement. Equipment that looks severely weathered or rusty can often be restored to like-new appearance at a fraction of the cost of new units. We’ll give you an honest assessment — if replacement genuinely makes more sense, we’ll tell you.
